Paul Simon is my hero, but Meghan is my world...

As you can tell by the name of the blog I'm a big fan of Paul Simon. The idea of "Saul Simeon" was my good friend Joe who for a time was "Mart Arfunkel." Together we took my first attempts at songwriting and made them into audio tracks that could be considered "recordings." Joe got a drum kit our senior year and we decided to re-name the group Fitz after a series of books by Robin Hobb that the both of us loved. Time passed, I moved off to follow my love Meghan as she went to college and started working on music with her in a new band called Erised. Erised is named after the Mirror of Erised in J.K. Rowling' Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone. Naming the band desire backwards really fit with the songwriting and we really love Harry Potter, Disney and each other...
